A Feast for Crows, by George R.R. Martin

Category: Fantasy

Story: I don’t really want to spoil this series, so head on over to Wikipedia if you must know!

Opinion: After the frenzy of thrilling journeys and battles and discoveries in A Storm of Swords, this book was such a drag that it felt like going cold turkey after an amazing high. I’m inclined to blame this on Martin’s decision to split the story that covers books four and five not by time but by characters, so you end up with the least interesting characters going through some slow-paced and uninteresting stories. I’m glad to say that it really did pick up in the last quarter of the book, but it still feels like an icy cold bath.
